“Bapak” is the Indonesian word for dad, and it is also how kids there address their fathers with a mix of respect and affection. That is the spirit of this site.

Bapak Life is a field guide for first-time dads. Most parenting advice is written for moms, and dads get a single chapter near the back. We write the whole book for you: what to expect, what to buy, what to skip, and how to actually show up.
